Opto-Electronic Devices

As a complement to our optical filter manufacturing capability, we provide the engineering and manufacturing capability to provide a variety of sub-assemblies. The most commonly requested sub-assemblies are filter wheels and arrays. These devices are relatively simple to design and manufacture and we have been providing vast quantities of these products for years to multiple market-leading OEMs in the life and health science and industrial manufacturing markets.

For customers who desire a more comprehensive solution to their discrimination and detection needs, we can provide devices that incorporate our optical filters, beam steering optics, detectors, and for some applications, electronic circuitry. Introduced in early 2012, our OptoFlash™ mini-spectrometers provide OEM instrument designers with a plug-in device that can de-multiplex as many as 10 wavelength channels per element and detect the light energy at each of the wavelengths using an on-board Si photodiode. These devices are configurable by OEM design engineers to meet the wavelength requirements of their instrument design.

In response to the needs of manufacturers of UV disinfection equipment, we have developed a sensor that is used to monitor the intensity of disinfection-effective, UV-C radiation. This sub-assembly includes a filter, detector, and OEM-specific electronic circuitry to monitor and control instrumentation.
